Port operates under Broward County Jurisdiction and is considered part of the county, all movements are advised and controlled by Harbormaster’s office including line handlers tugs and pilots.
Broward county sheriff’s office manages the overall Port security .“Hot work” approved by Broward county fire department
Allied Universal is responsible for manning the primary gates into, and fence gates within the Port.
Main 24 hr entry gate for Mid and North Ports is on Eller drive off the Port Everglades Expy.
Main 24 hr gate for South Port is on McIntosh Rd
